Dudo, the Liar's Dice game

Dudo is the classic liar's dice game: everyone hides their dice under a cup and bids on how many dice of a given value are on the whole table. You can learn it in two minutes, and it plays from 2 to 6.

How to play in short

  1. Everyone rolls their dice under the cup and only looks at their own.
  2. In turn, players bid on how many dice of a value are on the whole table; 1s are wild.
  3. The next player raises (more dice, or the same number with a higher value) or shouts “Dudo!”.
  4. The dice are revealed: if there are fewer than the bid, the bidder loses a die; otherwise whoever called Dudo does.
  5. Whoever runs out of dice is out: the last player with dice left wins.
