Farkle, the six-dice game

Farkle is the push-your-luck dice game: roll six dice, set aside the ones that score and decide whether to bank or roll again. It's also known as 10,000 (Ten Thousand), Zilch, Zehntausend, Dix mille, and Diecimila in Italy. For 2 to 6 players.

How to play in short

  1. Roll six dice.
  2. Set aside at least one scoring die: each 1 is worth 100, each 5 is worth 50, three of a kind is worth the number × 100.
  3. Roll the remaining dice to score more, or bank the turn's points.
  4. If a roll scores nothing you lose the whole turn; if all six dice score, you roll all six again.
  5. When someone reaches the target, everyone else gets one last turn: the highest score wins.
